Learning Excel: Filtering

Filtering

The sales rep is calling in at the Crown Inn and only wants to see their orders. Isla doesn't copy them out: a filter makes the rest disappear for a moment, without deleting a thing.

Filtering

In a column's menu you tick the values you want to see. The other rows disappear from view, but Excel doesn't delete them: it hides them.

You can spot a filter by the little funnel on the button and the blue row numbers. For a column of numbers you can also pick a condition, such as greater than or less than or equal to.
