Adding up what matches
Counting is nice, but Yasmina also wants to know what the clothing brought in. "Not how many pieces, but how many pounds." Then you don't count, you add up.
SUMIF
SUMIF adds up the numbers from the rows that meet a condition. It has three arguments: where you test the condition, the criterion, and what you add up: the sum range.
=SUMIF(B2:B16,"Clothing",C2:C16) tests in column B and adds up the prices from column C: £46.
