Apostrophe and quotation marks

Apostrophe and quotation marks, and the dead key

A diary from the archive is full of quotes: what the baker said, what the neighbour shouted. And everywhere it's, don't and o'clock.

Apostrophe and quotation marks

The apostrophe sits in it's, don't and o'clock. Quotation marks set a quote apart: "Come in," said Lea.

On AZERTY both have a key of their own on the number row, without Shift. On QWERTY they share the key right of L, the quotation marks with Shift. On US-International it is a dead key: press the key and then a space, or the next letter gets an accent.
