Typing up a source

Keeping your place in a text that stands somewhere else

A member brings in a handwritten quote: could you put it into the system? The text is on paper, you type on the screen.

Not losing your place

When copy typing you look at a source, not at your screen and certainly not at your hands. The hardest part is keeping your place: where were you?

Read part of a sentence, type it, and only then look back at the source. Put the paper close to your screen, at the same height. Don't look at the screen after every word: your fingers know the keys, and you see slips afterwards.
