How do you type the euro sign (€)?
On UK QWERTY in Windows it is AltGr + 4. On US-International it is AltGr + 5, and on Belgian AZERTY AltGr + E. On a UK Mac it is Option + 2.
The plain US keyboard (US QWERTY) has no euro sign. An Alt code helps then, or you switch to US-International.

Frequently asked questions
Does the sign go before or after the amount?
In English it goes before the amount without a space, as in €12.50. In Dutch there is usually a space, as in € 12,50.
My keyboard shows no € on the 4. Can I still type it?
Often you can. Not every keyboard prints every character. What counts is the layout your computer uses. Try it in the box below.
