D and K

The middle fingers on the home row

"Could you type the callers' names as well?" asks Jess. You'll need more fingers for that. Your middle fingers are already waiting, next to your index fingers.

Your middle fingers

Rest your index fingers on F and J. Your middle fingers fall onto the keys next to them: D on the left and K on the right.

Your index fingers stay put while a middle finger types. That way you never lose your place.
